Spend an afternoon with beer tasting at Ægir BrewPub in the center of Flåm. Ægir is easy to spot. It is a replica of an old viking long house. Inside the interior gives you a feeling of being transformed back in time in this amazing building. You can of course have lunch or dinner here, but now it is all about beer tasting.

Each customer gets a “plank” with five different types of beer from the brewery, followed by an accompanying description. The bartenders explain you how and in what order they recommend to taste the different types. The most obvious way is to start with the lightest first and end with the darkest, but you of course follow your own taste and preferances. Behind the bar, you can spot the micro brewery. This is just part of the pro- duction. The main brewery is located about 500 meters further in the Flåm Valley from the pier where fresh mountain water is one of the key ingredients. Ægir BrewPub is open all year.
