Fjordsafari
Nærøyfjorden
A cool way to experience UNESCO
World Heritage Site Nærøyfjorden is by
Fjordsafari in high-speed Rib boats.
The boats departure from their pier
next to the Visitor Center, and follow
the fjord Aurlandsfjorden out to the
entrance of Nærøyfjorden.
An experienced and certified driver
helps you search for and spot eagles,
seals and small dolphins and brings
you close to waterfalls and the small
settlements along the fjord. Some
places there still live people, others
are abandoned.
The boats follow the fjord to
Gudvangen where it turns and head
back for Flåm
The safari also passes the small village
Undredal, which was part of the
inspiration and model for Arrendale in
Disney´s hit movie Frozen. The small
village is known for its old stavechurch
and goat cheese.
You can book different tours from 1,5
to 4 hours. All neccessary equipment
(drysuite, lifejacket, goggles, gloves,
hat) is included in the ticket.
