If you want a spectacular view of the steep mountains which dive into the Aurlandsfjord, you should definately visit Stegastein Viwepoint above Aurland, about 20 minutes drive from Flåm. Here you can combine very cool architecture with a fantastic view over the Aurlandsfjord. The amazing architectual "bridge" by famous architect Tod Saunders brings you more than 30 meters out in the air above Aurland. You can reach Stegastein by car or bus. If you don´t have your own car, you can rent small electrical cars for 2 persons in Flåm. Ask in the tourist center in Flåm to find the best transportation. About two hours is enough. Bring some pastries from Flåm Bakery and have lunch with an amazing view. There are several stone benches to sit down and relax. You can also stop and have lunch in Aurlandsvangen on your journey to or from Stegastein.
