Voss is the largest town in the area, located about 1
hour drive with car or bus from Flåm.

It is known as a decent ski resort in winter but also as
the extreme sport capital of Norway with activities like
rafting, skydiving, paragliding including Voss Vind, an
indoor skydiving center.
Voss is a popular vacation destination, with a lot of
hotels, shops, restaurants and cafes.
For cruise tourists visiting Voss, we recommend a visit
to Voss Gondol or Skjervsfossen waterfall (outside
Voss), besides shopping (link to videos to the right).
Flåm has a public bus conection to Voss several times
a day. Many of the cruiseships have their own
excursions which includes Voss.
